This section is a little tongue-in-cheek. There is nothing that would constitute an “M” or “R” rating. It is simply content I worked on that is a little on the edgy side. They are some of my favorites.

Slim Chillers is a frozen treat, but you won’t want to give it to children. Each one has at least 10% alcohol in it. It’s designed for adults to have fun on a hot summer day. This first video shows one reason to enjoy them: they’ll make your friends’ karaoke sound better.

This ad is an example of how collaboration can make things better. The concept for this ad was supposed to be a bartender doing cool tricks, but when I was writing it, it just wasn’t coming out to be a very original ad. Then a coworker named Russ had the idea of having someone grab the bottle and breaking it. The client thought this was a brilliant idea because it illustrates exactly what this particular product is for. They are essentially shots you can put in your pocket.

Add Some Color

The idea behind this one is very simple. Slim Chillers is fun. It brings color to your world.

Bones is a flavored coffee that is known for edgier branding. The client specifically requested that we go all-out in pushing the envelope of censorship. The result is an ad that gained millions of views and tons of engagement.

Bones Coffee Retargeting

This video is an example of how an actor can elevate the script. The last line, “Don’t leave me hanging like this with blue bones baby,” was improvised.

The entire idea behind Twisted Wares is pure edgy branding. They have an email list where they send you short motivational messages with the F-word them. This ad works because it is social proof, and the hook is so catchy. You have an old woman cussing at the audience. What more can you ask for?

This ad…uh…speaks for itself.

Twisted Wares is more than just edgy sayings on various products. They have a patented towel that wraps around poles and stays on. It is actually kind of cool. This ad showcases that while still showcasing the raunchy humor we were going for.
