Business-to-Business
Here are some of the more successful videos for business-to-business clients. While the demographics tend to be more “professional,” they are still made up of people, who still have a sense humor. The videos may end up a little less jokey than B2C, but the humor is still there.
The key difference between this and B2C is the approach that I like to take. B2B clients are often a little more technical in what they do, so the videos are more educational and visual.
Enopoly has a business model that some coworkers found difficult to grasp. So the challenge here was to figure out a way to simplify it so it makes sense to my audience. To do that, I used a heavy dose of visuals sprinkled with some humor.
If you already looked at the “Rated M” section, you’ll notice the spokesperson in this is played by the same actor as the Bones Coffee ads.
Enopoly Retargeting
The videos that really brought in the dough for Enopoly were the retargeting assets we made based on the main video above. This one explains more in-depth how the company will do market research for you to figure out what items your store will sell.
This retargeting asset is known as “overcoming objections.” It addresses a doubt potential consumers might have about doing business with Enopoly. In this case, that doubt is, “Enopoly seems too good to be true.”
“Social Proof” is one of the most important assets a business can have. It shows that there are other people who have used the service and found success. This video has real testimonials from real customers who have seen real results.
Engineer Inc is a B2B that makes drawings for solar projects. It is specifically aimed toward small solar companies that find themselves inundated with work.
Some videos have the same basic sales messaging but repurposed. This particular video had a CTR of 3.84%.
Big Red Jelly is an agency that helps other companies with their digital branding. They help develop a style guide for their clients’ businesses, they optimize websites, and they consult to aid growth.
Most clients I have worked with at Chamber Media have used our videos for social media ads, but Big Red Jelly used it for their website. The intention is to show prospective customers what kind of service they can expect.
Solar Exclusive is one of the quirkiest ad campaigns I have ever written. The concept is a combination of a Vegas Casino and a parody of “Scooby Doo.” This partly happened because of some internal compromises. The result is a group of videos that are slick, hilarious, and heavy on great sales messaging. Even if you do not want to watch the first video, you should stick around for the first retargeting asset. It is hilarious!
Side Note: The spokesperson in this video seriously looks like Paul Ryan.
Solar Exclusive Retargeting
Sometimes the retargeting assets turn out to be the most fun part of the project. They are like deleted scenes that would not fit anywhere else.
When I wrote this one, it was originally part of the main video script. The director felt it made the video too uneven, so we had to change it. She was right, and it made a much better retargeting asset in the end.
Another “overcoming objections” video. This time the doubt is stated at the beginning, “What makes Solar Exclusive different from every other solar lead generation company out there?” To answer this, I utilized creative visuals to convey the message that the leads are vetted at Solar Exclusive.
Another “Scooby Doo” parody. I could not resist. This one addresses the elephant in the room when you think of traditional solar lead generation, door knocking. With Solar Exclusive, you don’t have to go house-by-house where people may or may not be interested. In fact, the only door knocking is people who have already set appointments.
